Maui Fourth of July Celebration

Vacation to Maui

Maui is a great place to spend most holidays, truth be told, and the Fourth of July is no different. If you'd like to indulge yourself in a special vacation, along with your loved ones, there's a lot of fun to be had. Whether you prefer an adventurous, exciting or relaxing, soothing holiday vacation on Maui, you won't be disappointed, but of course no July 4th celebration is complete without fireworks. Don't worry, Lahaina has it covered.

The Maui Invitational Music Festival will present their July 4th Concert in the Park from 5-10pm on the Lahaina Library Lawn. After the Maui Community Band and special guests perform their local and holiday favorites, there will be a spectacular fireworks show. This will all be presented by the Arts Education for Children Group, a worthy non-profit organization.

For those of you who haven't visited Lahaina, it's a charming historic town that runs along some beautiful, placid West Maui shoreline, and used to be both a whaling port and the seat of the Hawaiian monarchy long ago. Now, Front Street is a vibrant hub of activity for visitors and residents alike, boasting wonderful restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, clothing stores, and historical sites. There is also a scenic harbor where charters go out for fishing, whale watching, short cruises, snorkeling, and there's even a submarine tour.

Looking to relax? Try any number of luxurious spas in West Maui. Lay out on the warm beaches and take a soothing swim. Conditions are usually quite calm, especially in the morning. Don't forget your sunscreen! Looking for adventure? Try ziplining through the air to take in astonishing vistas from daring heights, or get a surfing lesson. It's all here. Check Yelp or a similar service for reviews to help assure you make the right choice.

However you plan to fill your vacation to Maui, just know that if you're here for the 4th of July, there will be exciting patriotic festivities to enjoy along with everything else the island has to offer. Enjoy your vacation! Mahalo!
